Is Fear Holding You Back?
As a big wave surfer I deal with fear constantly: tangible, on your face, cold in the stomach fear. When a thirty feet mass of water comes my way, I have two options: to panic and freak out, or to simply relax and see what happens. I usually ask myself, why do I put myself in those situations? The answer is always the same: because I love the feeling of making a huge drop in a big wave. The colors are vibrant, the wind and the sound of the waves become one holy instant. Read More

Nine days in Puerto Escondido

I just finished a nine day trip to Puerto Escondido. On the first three days that I arrived, the waves at Zicatela were closing out and the direction on of the swell wasn’t favoring it.
